New Rochdale office space is being created as part of an ongoing regeneration of the town centre's riverside, it has been reported.
Place North West notes the £250 million project, which incorporates 300,000 sq ft of office interiors and an £11.5 million transport interchange.
The new office buildings are scheduled for completion by 2012, with developers invited to bid for the project earlier this year.
In all, it is valued at around £60 million of the total redevelopment budget.
Meanwhile, the new transport interchange is being subsidised by a £10 million government grant.
The successful developer is expected to be revealed by May 2010, with the Smith Street office buildings to be constructed on the site of the existing bus station.
Place North West previously reported on further office construction in Rochdale, which saw American stone and glazing firm CR Laurence commence work on its warehousing and offices unit at Kingsway Business Park.
