Small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) across the UK are reliant on serviced office space to provide a firm foundation for growth, it has been stated.
Economist Justin Urquhart Stewart argued at this week's annual conference of the Business Centre Association that SMEs are the second-largest group of employers in the UK and, as such, it is important that these firms are given access to the facilities they need to impress clients and form strong relationships.
He added: "The UK needs to get lending again to get the blood running and we need to have access to the flexible facilities that the business centre sector provides."
Elsewhere, Knight Frank was recently signed up by serviced office provider BizSpace to market its offices in Liverpool, Speke, Wigan, Rochdale and Haydock.
The firm presently operates 7.5 million sq ft of office space across the UK, but is hoping to expand its client base in the north-west through this deal.
