Utilities provider Severn Trent Water has started moving its staff into its new headquarters at St John's in Coventry.
According to the Need Office Space blog, the £60 million, seven-storey premises have become the new home of 1,700 workers following their relocation from the firm's former headquarters in Birmingham.
Overall, the property offers 170,000 sq ft of office interior space and includes a 380-space staff car park, as well as 175-berth public car park.
"This is an exciting opportunity for us to bring together many of our south Midlands functions to one, modern, specially designed business centre and in doing so will contribute to the ongoing economic development of the city," commented Tony Wray, chief executive of Severn Trent.
Elsewhere, research carried out by Colliers recently revealed the uptake of office space in Birmingham has risen in recent months, with the results showing a 15 per cent decline in available office space in the city during the last six months.
