SGI to refurbish Blackpool offices

Kevin McCabe's Scarborough Group International (SGI) is to undertake the refurbishment of three floors of a Blackpool office complex at Forsyth Business Centres.

Once completed, the office refurbishment will provide an additional 11,000 sq ft of grade A office interior space in the town centre and will help encourage businesses to relocate to the area.

Doug Garrett, chief executive of the town's regeneration body ReBlackpool, said: "It's fantastic that a high-profile company such as SGI is looking at creating opportunities like this for businesses in the area."

He added that the office refurbishment forms part of the £87 million town centre renovation plan currently being appraised by the local council.

Elsewhere in the region, LDP Business recently reported that the Skelmersdale development Pikelaw Place has welcomed its first tenant following its refurbishment.

SPD Logistics has taken up residence at the 150,000 sq ft site and has taken charge of 58,600 sq ft of the available office interior space.
