Drill tool supplier Cutting & Wear has announced the delivery of a new headquarters in Sheffield as part of a planned £5 million expansion.
The investment is being made in the construction of a new purpose-built 38,000 sq ft head office in the city centre that is to be constructed at St Paul Development's Smithy Wood Business Park.
"As well as improving efficiencies across the company, the new HQ will help to reinforce the quality of the Cutting & Wear brand in oil and gas drilling locations across the world," commented Mark Russell, managing director of the manufacturing company.
He added that this is a major investment for the firm and puts the company on track for significant growth in the years ahead.
Elsewhere, global pharmaceutical firm AstraZeneca recently announced the opening of its new worldwide headquarters at Two Kingdom Street in London.
The firm has moved from its former premises in Mayfair, with the new offices being opened by London mayor Boris Johnson.
