A new mixed-use office construction project is set to get underway in Sheffield.
JF Finnegan has announced plans for a new 200,000 sq ft office scheme, a 60-bed hotel, a pub and restaurant at the former Laycast Foundry Works in Woodhouse Mill, in the east of the city.
Nick Gillott, design and build manager for JF Finnegan, said: "We will shortly be beginning the site remediation and the highways access works which we anticipate will take until the last quarter of 2010, following which the land will be ready to accommodate occupiers."
Elsewhere, development company Peel recently announced plans for the construction of a new 20,000 sq m mixed-use office scheme in Nottingham.
The firm hopes a new hotel and office interior complex at Sovereign House could be the catalyst for a regeneration of the city's commercial quarter, with the he new premises helping to stem the present leakage of employers out of Nottingham.
