Sheffield office designs evaluated
31-03-2008
Sheffield city council and partners have called for a revision and review of the city's development plan set out in 2000.The 2000 City Centre Masterplan will now be reassessed to include additional office design plans to meet commercial growth in the area.
A newly released economic strategy has resulted in the need for an increase in the amount of office space available, Regen.net reports.
Commenting on the review, Tim Young, director at consultancy Taylor Young, has said previous government initiatives have enabled the city to make a "step change" in the quality of the commercial experience in the centre of the city.
"Sheffield city council and its partners are keeping ahead of the game by commissioning this wide-ranging review and development of its 2000 City Centre Masterplan," he notes.
One Sheffield firm to have enjoyed significant growth in recent months is solicitor Taylor & Emmett, which has recently taken up new premium office interiors to fuel further growth and support business.
