A project has been completed in Manchester to transform a number of disused shipping containers into modern office design space.
Crain's Manchester Business reported the former Sharp warehouse on Thorp Road received £16.5 million of funding from the local council and has been transformed into a vibrant new office space in the city centre.
Overall, it aims to deliver 15,000 sq ft of modern office design space, as well as helping to create up to 550 new jobs.
Director of the Sharp Project Sue Woodward OBE said: "The Sharp Project has been extremely well received by the sector and we've had a tremendous amount of interest just through word of mouth, with very little marketing."
The project is a hub for the creative and digital industries in Manchester and aims to promote entrepreneurialism in the area.
It hopes this new move will help to expand the growing pool of talent in the north-west and will help to develop a pipeline of young people with the range of skills required to meet the industry's needs.
