SPIE to take up office space in Sale

SPIE Matthew Hall, the specialist electrical, mechanical and HVAC engineering firm, has relocated to a new office interior in Sale.

The company is to take up residence in a new 6,000 sq ft office and will house 70 members of staff working on projects ranging from £50,000 to £50 million, Crain's Manchester Business reports.

A major project which the company is currently working on is the refurbishment of St Helens College, while it is also installing mechanical, electrical and public health services at the National Museum in Liverpool.

As a group overall, SPIE currently employs over 26,500 people worldwide and has offices in 400 locations in 28 countries.

It recently purchased the building services and management firm Amec and was rebranded Spie Matthew Hall in 2007.

Last year, the company reported a 30 per cent increase in revenue to €3.46 billion (£2.76 billion) and operating income rose 42 per cent to €137.5 million.
