Stockton-on-Tees company moves to new offices

Aker Kvaerner Engineering Services is set to move to its new home on Bowesfields Lane in Stockton-on-Tees, it has been revealed.NE Business News has reported that the firm will move from its old office at Ashmore House on Richardson Road and relocate to its new office interior on the Surtees Business Park which will have room for up to 400 employees.
Following a poll of members of staff, it was decided to call the new building Phoenix House in commemoration of the company's rebirth.
Aker president and managing director Dave Ley told the publication: "This significant new investment in modern, purpose-built premises underlines Aker Kvaerner's intent to remain in the area in the long term. It's important for us to create a modern, efficient workspace - and this new site does that for us."
In other news, it was recently reported on the online business news website bNet that Aker has secured a three-year contract with the Dutch firm GE Plastics for technical support and project engineering services.
