30-04-2008
Plans to redevelop York House have been given permission to proceed by Lambeth Council. The 18-storey site, located in Londons Waterloo area, will provide around 345,000 sq ft of modern office design.
Delancey, which submitted the planning application, also intends to build a 10,000 sq ft roof terrace with picturesque views across the River Thames.
Paul Goswell, managing director at Delancey, said: "York House is an exciting new development, which will provide high quality, flexible and sustainable office space in a location that offers tenants affordability combined with very short travel times to the City, West End and other main central London districts."
The building will be renamed as Westminster Place as part of the redevelopment, which is currently subject to a section 106 agreement.
Work on the office refit is expected to be completed by the end of 2010.
Earlier this year, software company Rosetta Stone have expressed their delight following an office relocation effort in the Clapham area of south London.
