Leeds office interior development Thorpe Park has embraced the principles of sustainable office design and created a building suitable for firms looking to improve their green credentials.
Space is now available at the development, which offers suites ranging from 2,000 to 21,500 sq ft, with the building itself receiving a BREEAM rating of "Excellent".
Sustainable office design features include tiles made from recycled mobile phones, grey water vacuum flush toilets and a vegetation roof to improve insulation, according to the Business Desk.
Further development of the premises is on the cards, with Kevin McCabe's Scarborough Group International - owners of the development - planning a further £500 million investment in the site.
Meanwhile, delegates from across the globe recently attended the annual Green Symposium: Capturing Efficiencies in the Commercial Office, where methods for boosting sustainable office design were discussed in depth.
Possible solutions included ways to reduce operating costs and how to optimise employee efficiency while reducing environmental impact.
