Sustainable office design in London 'a key opportunity'
Office design news from Morgan Lovell

Sustainable office design in London could be one of the construction industry's key areas for growth in the coming years.
The Department for Business, Innovation and Skills notes the possibilities presented by buildings of all types, residential and otherwise, as the capital moves towards retrofitting its existing property for greater sustainability.
Among the areas that could see growth as the capital becomes a Low Carbon Economic Area is the issue of sustainable office design in London, as new-builds and refurbishments alike respond to the demands of eco-friendly aspirations.
The department adds that raising energy efficiency in broad terms is one of the outcomes when action is brigaded in the creation of Low Carbon Economic Areas.
Aside from London, Manchester is another location where similar efforts are being taken to improve sustainability of a wide range of properties.
One of the city's major employers, the Co-operative Group, has renewable power generation including solar panels and wind turbines fitted to its office buildings in a number of locations in Manchester city centre.
