Talks underway to get Derry office back on track
02-12-2008
Discussions on the launch of an office in Derry are set to get underway today (December 2nd), it has been revealed.Although work on the purpose-built Foyle Chambers - the Public Prosecution Service's (PPS) north-west regional office - had started in the early stages of this year, it was reported work came to a halt in September.
The workspace is intended to provide a total office layout of 21,000 sq ft and is located on Limavady Road, the Derry Journal reports.
A PPS spokesperson stated this was due to "differences over technical finishes with the developer" as the building was expected to be complete in October.
Now PPS representatives are expected to meet with developers in a bid to resolve the issues surrounding the office layout.
Last month, it was revealed that a £3 million business centre has been opened in Belfast.
