The redevelopment of an iconic Leeds landmark is set to get underway that will culminate in the creation of new office space for the city.
Office construction work will see the creation of 18,000 sq ft of serviced office interior space at Tower Works, although prior to that, three listed chimney towers at the development are to be stabilised.
Jan Anderson, executive director of environment at Yorkshire Forward, said: "When completed, Tower Works will contribute further to the vision for Holbeck Urban Village as an exemplar mixed-use development, setting standards in design, sustainability and place-making."
She added that the project will help to deliver "connectivity" between the city centre and local communities, as well as strengthening the city's position as a regional business hub, while preserving the area's natural history and heritage.
Elsewhere, corporate travel consultancy Flight Centre UK recently completed a move to new office premises at Leeds' landmark mixed-use development The Gateway.
