The construction of two new offices in central London has moved one step closer after Land Securities secured planning approval for its new project.
Originally designed to be a single, 320,000 sq ft building, these plans were rejected and now a new set have been drawn up and approved that will see the firm creating two new buildings totalling 280,000 sq ft of modern office design space between them.
Development director of the project Simon Hesketh said: "Development opportunities are out there, but they are very location specific. Some areas have a severe lack of supply, while others have massive oversupplies."
Land Securities was founded in 1944 and today manages a London property portfolio in excess of 9.7 million sq ft. In addition, the company holds 5,000 acres of undeveloped land in the region, which it plans to transform into new office, residential and retail developments when the time is right.
