UBS planning new London office
Office design news from Morgan Lovell
Published on 05-05-2010
Plans have been put forward for the construction of new office space at 4 to 6 Broadgate in London on behalf of global financial firm UBS.
A joint venture (JV) agreement has been signed by British Land and Blackstone for the duration of the project, which will see the creation of the JV group Bluebutton Properties.
British Land said in a released statement that the goal of the development is "retaining UBS as a key occupier on the estate" and, as such, the group has entered into an "exclusive non-binding heads of terms to construct UBS a new building".
The deal is not yet complete. However, Bluebutton is confident all necessary paperwork will be in place to get the project underway in the near future.
UBS is headquartered in Zurich and Basel but operates in more than 50 countries around the world. It presently employs in excess of 64,000 people and specialises in providing financial services to private, corporate and institutional clients.
