UBS has announced it will be moving into 700,000 sq ft of grade A office space in the City of London.
Investment companies Blackstone and British Land have set up a joint venture to create a new office complex in the City at a projected cost of £340 million and this new announcement is a pre-letting agreement for the majority of office space at the site when it is complete.
"We are ... excited to have the chance to make a substantial investment in a project that will rejuvenate Broadgate and retain 5,000 employees in the City of London by ensuring a high-quality work environment," commented senior managing director of Blackstone Chad Pike.
He added that the company is very excited to continue its long relationship of working with UBS and is happy to have another opportunity to work together.
UBS specialises in financial services for private, corporate and institutional clients. It presently employs approximately 64,000 people worldwide and has its main headquarters in Zurich and Basel.
