Uxbridge office construction 'to start next year'

An office construction project in Uxbridge, London is set to get underway next year.

Up to 80,000 sq ft of new office space is expected to be developed at the Highbridge Park premises after Rockspring Property Investment Managers completed the purchase of land at the site.

Work is scheduled to get underway early next year, with completion forecast to be some time in 2014.

Rockspring fund manager Richard Bains said: "We perceive a lack of supply and continued demand in the M25 office market. If we can get hold of the right scheme, get on site and deliver, there is potentially the right balance of risk and reward."

Elsewhere, a planning permission extension for a 110,000 sq ft office project at Woolley Grange has been accepted.

Scottish and Southern Energy now has until 2014 to complete the development; should the work go ahead, it is not expected to begin before 2011.
