A new community office project has been opened in Watford for voluntary organisations.
Watford Council for Voluntary Services (CVS) is using the property at Watford community centre to provide office space to up to 150 voluntary groups and to promote community activities and facilities.
In total, the organisation spent £450,000 refurbishing the premises after the council gave permission to do so.
"Now we have got the capacity to build something special for the community and the people of Watford," commented chief executive of the organisation Bob Jones.
He added that this is likely to be the start of a long partnership between CVS and the local council.
Meanwhile, commercial property agent MERJS recently revealed it has a large amount of office space available at its property at Bedford House, 21a John Street in the Bloomsbury area of London.
Up to 8,000 sq ft of office space at the site is about to be refurbished and the firm is now looking for new tenants.
