Medical products manufacturer Vygon has purchased the former Motorola offices in Swindon and plans to carry out refit to build its new headquarters.
The company plans to construct a new 250,000 sq ft modern office design building at the 46-acre site in Blunsdon, Swindon, with plans to relocate to the premises upon their completion at some point next year.
Adam Fletcher, partner at Vygon's development manager Adapt Properties, said: "The new facility will provide much needed state of the art warehouse and office space for the company."
Elsewhere in the south, the BBC recently reported Cornwall Council has been given the go-ahead for a £12 million refit of its head offices in Camborne, Truro and Bodmin.
The council will aim to create new space to expand each of the sites, with staff levels rising at Camborne from 320 to 600 and at Truro from 680 to 1,050 as part of the refits.
