Wates Construction has announced the opening of a new office in Liverpool as part of its expansion in the north-west.
The new office is situated at Mount Pleasant and is helping the firm deliver on its responsibilities for the construction of the new Mount Pleasant Campus for Liverpool John Moore's University - a project valued at £19.5 million.
John Shannon, Wates business unit director in the north-west, said: "The office provides us with a real base to support our growing client base in Liverpool and demonstrates our long-term commitment to the city at a time when it really matters."
He added that the company is in a strong position at present, with a stable balance sheet and a good reputation.
Meanwhile, the creation of new office space is set to get underway at Liverpool Innovation Park.
The £4 million project will see the delivery of 16,000 sq ft of new office space, as well as a networking hub for tenants where they can interact with clients and each other.
