Modern office design and sound transport links have inspired a major accountancy firm to move a large number of staff to its Watford offices.

KPMG, which houses more than 100 of its staff in its Aquis Court office in Fishpool Street, St Albans, is to enlarge its Watford office in preparation for their relocation.

Mike Coughtrey, senior partner for KPMG in Hertfordshire, said: "KPMG is continuing to invest in Hertfordshire and will be relocating staff currently based in St Albans to our larger Watford premises in 2012.

"Our Watford office is a very modern working environment which has excellent infrastructure to London and the rest of the country and will allow us to expand the number of people and range of services that we have to offer our clients from Hertfordshire."

The expanded space, which will boast contemporary office interiors, will become the central hub of accountants’ operations across the north and the home counties, and will see its name changed to KPMG London North Office.
