White City in London is to undergo an office refurbishment programme following an agreement between the BBC and the government.
The west London property will be transformed to offer 60,000 sq ft of office space to firms in the creative industries, with Media Trust set to be the first charity to benefit from the overhaul when it moves in later this year.
Government minister for the creative industries Ed Vaizey commented: "This project will be a fantastic boost to the creative industries in London. Despite tough economic times, businesses are showing confidence by continuing to invest in the future of the creative sectors."
Elsewhere in the capital, the Liberal Democrats recently announced the party is on the lookout for new office space to enable its entire staff to be housed on a single level.
At present, the party resides at 4 Cowley Street in Victoria but is hoping to move to new premises closer to the Houses of Parliament in the near future.
