Insurance company Willis Group has opened a new office in Birmingham's Jewellery Quarter.

The company has set up 10,000 sq ft of office interior space at 40 St Paul's Place and plans to relocate 50 of its members of staff to the new premises.

It was opened by company chairman and chief executive officer Joe Plumieri on October 20th.

Richard Waltier, branch director of Willis Birmingham, said: "Willis has been established in the Jewellery Quarter for over ten years and we were keen to remain at such a prestigious, central location, but our business had overgrown our prior office space."

He added that the new office will help the company expand its client base and will provide a modern and professional space in which to work.

Meanwhile, the Birmingham Post recently reported that marketing and design firm AHP Design has opened a new office in Digbeth.

Now situated in Birmingham's Rhubarb building in the creative quarter, the company has set up its first dedicated workspace after running a virtual office environment for the past year.
