Worcestershire set for office expansion
13-05-2008
A business park in Worcestershire is set to benefit from an expanded office layout, it has been revealed. In a project worth some £6 million, construction of new office space at Vale Park in Evesham is to be carried out by Business Homes Midlands - a joint venture between Horton's Estate and Business Homes.
The move will see some 32,000 sq ft worth of office interiors be constructed on a 1.9 acre site on Asparagus Way, the Evesham Journal reports.
Rob Byth, chief executive for Horton, said: "The catchment area for potential office occupiers runs from Birmingham to Coventry and from Cheltenham to Stratford and our research suggests significant demand for new and self-contained small office units."
Mr Byth added that the business facility, which currently stands at 95 acres, is a "well-established location" for industrial and office interior users.
In other news, it was recently revealed that proposals for a £160 million office development in central Birmingham had been submitted which, if given the go-ahead, would result in a total office layout of 285,000 sq ft.
