Work begins on Hamilton project
27-03-2008
The official 'sod-cutting' ceremony for the final building of a new £33 million office design project has taken place at the Hamilton site. With an expected completion date scheduled for 2009, the Ochil House project will provide a modern office layout of 80,416 sq ft, online journal Property Executive notes.
In an elevated position, the four-storey development will be the largest building in Hamilton's International Park. In attendance at the ceremony to launch construction work was member of Scottish parliament for Hamilton South Tom McCabe.
"The expansion plans have progressed quickly and many of the new developments have been acquired by investors, demonstrating the success of the park both as a key investment and working location," commented William Hill, managing director of HF Developments.
Elsewhere in Scotland, plans for an international conference centre in Edinburgh have been reinvigorated following an £80 million package to fund the development, the Sunday Herald notes.
