Balfour Beatty Mott MacDonald
Office design & fit out project in Kent

How we got a road specialist back on track
A rebrand turned highway maintenance firm InterRoute into Balfour Beatty Mott MacDonald. With their fresh start came new demands on office space… so Morgan Lovell’s team hit the road.
Balfour Beatty Mott MacDonald had a big problem with storage space and desperately needed creative ways to make room for over 200 staff. The new premises also needed to house their secure National Control Centre Room, lined with CCTV screens.
But perhaps most crucially of all, they were coping with a single tea point for 200 people. Dealing with the nation’s congested roads is difficult enough without tailbacks around the kettle.
We ensured a wealth of intelligent storage solutions and, for sustainability, we introduced centralised printing and co-ordinated recycling to reduce waste. We even turned selected WCs into showers to encourage cycling to work.
Oh, and of course, three new tea points now give everyone the chance to refuel.
‘People are very impressed by the final result and your team have done an excellent job.’
Margaret Cook, Mobilisation Project Manager, Balfour Beatty Mott MacDonald.
