Office relocation, design & fit out project in London

Three years ago, leading UK children’s publisher, Egmont, took the decision to ‘go green’. Once the challenge of overhauling their manufacturing processes was coming to an end, they asked Morgan Lovell to design them an office which would match their new eco-friendly credentials.

So when it came to fitting out their new office, we laid carpet made from recycled content with non PVC backing, which means it can be recycled once it wears out. We also used non-toxic paint which is low in VOCs (volatile organic compounds). And for their kitchen floors (and notice boards), we used Forbo, a type of flooring made from natural, renewable materials.

We also made sure their new space was as stylish as it was sustainable. Our designers used black and white, Egmont’s corporate colours, as the basis of their design, adding splashes of green, yellow and turquoise to brighten things up. And they included plenty of shelf space to display Egmont’s environmentally friendly books.
