Gems TV

Gems TV came to us with an interesting brief: to turn their dated warehouse into a ‘New York loft style apartment’. As a TV company, they wanted a more exciting, professional image – creating the feel of a television studio throughout the office.

We started by building a mezzanine level. We also introduced bright colours – like red accent walls in the kitchen – and chose contemporary fixtures and furniture. The flooring wasn’t as straightforward – concrete or wood would have looked good, but would have created acoustic problems. So instead, we chose a carpet with a ‘timber like’ effect. We completed the industrial feel with air conditioning ‘hoovers’ and exposed brick walls.

The result? A total transformation and a totally unexpected look when you walk into the building. And their team is happy – especially with the kitchen, which is getting rave reviews.
