Refurbishment in Occupation project in London

Young, gifted and really hardworking
It’s true that the guys and gals at experiential marketing agency iD Experiential are young and like to party hard. But they also work incredibly long hours too. So when they decided their office needed a complete overhaul, one of the must-haves on the list included ‘a space that felt like a home away from home’ and an interior that was as gorgeous and stylish as the people that worked there.
The Morgan Lovell design team were up against a number of other agencies for the project but won the pitch with a strong design concept. This followed a series of brainstorming meetings with key members of the company who told us they wanted an office that was aspiring, visually exciting and a place where people liked to work. They wanted a room they ‘could get ready in’ and a ‘reception that looks like a bar’.
So to create that home from home feel, we installed a traditional looking front door complete with a knocker. And we used wallpaper covering for that domesticated look in the breakout area. The meeting room needed to double up as a boudoir for the girls, so we installed Hollywood lights and sockets for hairdryers. And we chose a meeting table that can easily be used as a dining table when needed.
In reception we created a cool bar vibe with dark walls, moody lighting, bar stools and a bar height reception desk, which can be used for internal or informal meetings. And installed a soundproof glass wall that looks out on to the team from the reception area. It means clients can feel the buzz the moment they step through the door.
To finish off the domestic set-up we created a garden path with bespoke wall coverings to match the client’s website graphics, which leads down to the creative team and comes complete with a garden and a picket fence.
For a project that had a tight budget, the design team successfully created a space with a whole dose of wow factor.
