Office design & refurbishment project in Bournemouth

LV= hadn’t always planned to completely refurbish their Bournemouth headquarters.
Originally, project manager Keren Shaw was tasked with replacing all the furniture in LV=‘s two head office buildings, but the project soon evolved into the refurbishment of 150,000 square feet of occupied office space.
For LV=, the refurbishment provided the opportunity to bring their working environment into line with their brand and business values. Our project designer Ian Mitchell made the LV= brand and corporate colour palette a key feature of the design, working to LV=‘s brief of creating a fresh and clean, fun yet professional atmosphere. Our previous experience within the LV= group had proven our ability to translate their ideas into reality, as Keren explains: “Morgan Lovell are very in tune with our brand, our values and the type of company we are. It gave us confidence in the team and the delivery of the job.”
The challenge for Morgan Lovell was the 6 month programme, tight in any case given the scope of the project. But with 2,000 employees to work around and keep happy, the project had to run like clockwork. Works were done in phases, with groups of employees being ‘decanted’ to a swing space whilst their area was being refurbished. We also carried out any noisy works out-of-hours, to minimise additional disruption.
This project was all about creating an inspiring office environment for LV=‘s employees. And Keren’s received fantastic feedback: “We’ve all been invigorated by the new offices. In fact it’s hard to believe they’re even the same buildings.”
