All systems go for new Pega office

When Pegasystems, a global software company based in Reading, made the decision to combine two of its UK offices, it was a good opportunity to have a think about how the company wanted to work as a whole.

The client was keen to adopt a more efficient and collaborative way of working and wanted to encourage staff to spend less – not more - time at their desks. With that in mind the Morgan Lovell design team recommended smaller desks and personal lockers, so staff wouldn’t be tied to one desk, and included a number of meeting spaces to encourage collaboration. Large scale photography in the breakout area acted as a - not so subtle - reminder that work needn’t take place in an office environment.

Because the end client was overseas, early interactive presentations were carried out via videolink and the design team was praised by the client as having “plenty of ideas” and a “great initial wow factor.”
