Great design – the foundation of sustainability
There are lots of little ways you can make your office more sustainable. But in the end, if you really want to save the environment (and lots of money!), you need to go back to the drawing board.
True sustainability starts with great design. That’s why all our designers are fully BREEAM and LEED trained. They look at everything – from using recycled plastics to simple things like redesigning your space to maximise sunlight so you can turn more lights off.
In short, our designers help you lower your carbon footprint, reduce your bills and increase your bottom line. All with just a pencil.
Low energy can be high design too.

Save energy, save money, save the environment
Some companies waste up to 20% of the energy they consume every day. That’s like throwing away 20p of every pound spent on energy. Madness.
It’s so simple to fix. By installing simple measures such as energy saving lighting, heating and ventilation, your office could save 20% on energy bills every year. According to The Carbon Trust, reducing your energy costs by 20% has the equivalent effect on your bottom line as a 5% increase in sales.
So, how much energy is your company wasting? Don’t know? Give us a call and we’ll help you find out. Just like we helped TalkTalk reduce their energy consumption by 20% when they relocated.

See how a sustainable office doesn't have to cost the Earth
Did you know, even the paint on your wall could help the environment? Amazing, isn’t it?
There’s a sustainable option for almost everything in your office. But most companies are unaware of them. And those that are, often think that ‘sustainable’ is simply shorthand for ‘more expensive’.
The inspirational fact is, we can help you get the efficient, stylish, sustainable office your company wants, at no difference in cost. Knowing that everything from base materials to office furniture has come from recycled sources is something that’ll sit well with your clients and staff alike.

Sustainability isn’t a product, it’s a process
Every fit out has an impact on the environment, the question is, ‘how much?’ Because if your office fit out partner isn’t being eco-friendly, neither are you.
At Morgan Lovell, we ensure everything we do is environmentally conscious by managing the whole process from start to finish. We train all our staff in environmental best practice methods, from minimising landfill waste with on-site recycling to creating agreed waste management plans with our clients before the work begins.
Our management systems are certified to ISO 14001 and we only ever work with certified suppliers too. In short, your construction won’t meet the latest sustainable standards, it’ll exceed them.

Green is the colour of a happy and healthy workforce
60%* of your employees want to work for a sustainable company. And if green issues are high up on their priority list, they should be high on yours too.
What’s more, with the government beginning to introduce new, green legislation for business, now’s the time to start working for the planet while you work for a living. But you don’t have to go far to go green. Show your people that you care about them and the environment by setting up office recycling and choosing paints, wallboards and sealants without VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds).
*Carbon Trust
When your staff see that they work for a socially responsible company not only will they be happier, they’ll be more loyal too – and that means lower recruitment costs.
See? It’s not just the environment that benefits from a green office. Something IHG found out when we turned their office green.
