Furnishing Egmont's office with sustainability
When leading UK children’s publisher, Egmont, took the decision to ‘go green’, they changed their entire print and manufacturing process, down to the inks they use.
So, when they asked us to design them an office to match their new eco-friendly credentials, we were just as thorough.

Creating a sustainable canvas in their office
We laid carpet made from recycled content with non PVC backing, which means it can be recycled once it wears out. We used sustainable wall boards and covered them with paint which is low in VOCs (volatile organic compounds).

Making sustainability part of the furniture
After creating a sustainable canvas, we wove sustainability into the fabric of their office design. Of course we sourced furnishings made from sustainable materials, but we also adopted flexible design ideas such as using bookcases as partition walls. That way, they can change their office around in the future without wasting money and energy.
