James Shears, environmental and sustainability manager at Morgan Lovell, has been selected to be part of the UK Green Building Council’s ‘System Enablers for a Circular Economy’ task group.

This task group, which is part of the UKGBC’s Advancing Net Zero Programme, will develop a vision of what a circular economy will look like for the built environment and identify the steps we need to get there.

James said, "As a company, we are dedicated to achieving our Net Zero Carbon target by 2030 and an important way to reduce our emissions is by embracing the circular economy. That includes reusing materials and ensuring our fit out projects are designed for deconstruction and reuse at the end of their life. By being part of this task group, we are working to ensure circularity is an integral part of all construction projects moving forward."
