Project description

We worked with luxury residential developer Taylor Wimpey Central London to design and build their new London offices at 20 Air Street. The new workplace is Taylor Wimpey Central London’s HQ and can accommodate up to 80 staff. The brief was to create an office that included touches of luxury, an important requirement because Taylor Wimpey Central London develop, market and sell high-end properties.

Lead designer, Anna Dejlova completely redesigned the access to the office, moving the reception so that it is reached via a sky-bridge across the central atrium of the building.

A welcoming reception

The reception area now has the best views possible, overlooking a classic street scene that epitomises the character of Soho. We also wanted to make the office was visible from the atrium – wowing Taylor Wimpey Central London’s visitors and clients before they step through the door.

The space is multi-functional and includes open workspace, social spaces, a boardroom and also a reception area that doubles as an entertainment space to host the developer’s spectacular scale building models. The high spec fixtures and fittings all reflect the brands luxury look and feel, a true showcase demonstrating the quality associated with Taylor Wimpey Central London’s properties.

Letting light through

Plush, homely-style furnishings were an absolute must for this space so that the space reflected the quality of their developments throughout the capital. To maintain the airy views from the floor-to-ceiling windows, we installed frosted glass panels to provide light visual and acoustic privacy to the standing meeting spaces scattered across the floor.

Pure class

Meeting rooms made use of hanging pendant lights, wooden tables and sideboards to once again re-create that homely feel. Light grey, plush carpet isn't often found in office spaces, but this isn't an everyday office. The soft carpet softens the dark oak veneer walls and complements the leather chairs. All-in-all, it's a timeless look with a homely finish.
