Taking SGN's innovation hub to the next level

Following the successful fit out of their office at the Nexus Building, SGN expanded into the floor below, creating a workplace over two phases that strengthens its brand identity and has room to grow.

Key features

  • Auditorium and visualisation suite for new ideas
  • Flexible event spaces with movable furniture and folding walls
  • Acoustic and privacy led design
  • High performance AV technology

In 2024, we completed a design and build fit out of gas distribution company SGN’s London office on the fourth floor of Farringdon’s Nexus Building, creating an innovation hub that quickly became a destination for colleagues from across the business and led SGN to expand into the floor below.

We were reappointed at the end of 2025 to deliver the new space, which provides additional meeting and collaboration areas while maintaining a consistent identity across both floors.

Building on a successful foundation

The fourth floor welcomes visitors into a branded reception space before leading them into an auditorium designed for presentations, innovation showcases and business events. Movable furniture and leading AV technology allow the space to adapt to many different requirements.

As SGN's needs evolved, we later converted an existing office into an incident briefing room, providing additional operational capability within the workplace.

More space for success

The third floor fit out takes design inspiration from upstairs, adding new elements that bring further character to the space. Different combinations of deep green tones, soft mauve accents and unique joinery pieces make the floors connected but with their own identities.

Meeting rooms, breakout booths and a visualisation suite were carefully arranged to get the most out of every square foot in the limited space. Enhanced acoustic treatments, privacy features and access controlled doors help create secure environments for confidential discussions and focused work.

Flexibility for the future

By building on the success of the original fit out and adapting the space to meet evolving business requirements, the completed headquarters provides SGN with a connected workplace that’s bringing people together and welcoming visitors from across the industry.
