Project description

Checkmyfile, the UK's only provider of online Credit Reports based on data from all major UK Credit Reference Agencies, sought a larger office space to accommodate their current team and future growth. The focus of the new office was to drive collaboration among teams and cultivate a strong sense of community. The values of collaboration, wellbeing, productivity and fun were creative pillars of the design.

Listed? No problem

The listed building status inspired an industrial look and feel with exposed surfaces, reflecting the desired atmosphere of a mature, productive space while also invoking elements of fun and joy as seen with the pool table. Morgan Lovell collaborated closely with the client throughout the process, ensuring their needs and priorities were understood, including the incorporation of a neutral colour palette due to an ongoing rebranding.

Three floors, three identities, one team

Colleagues and visitors are welcomed into the building on the ground floor into a spacious, open plan and inspiring space. The first floor of the office was designed with a heavy focus on collaboration, levering technology to optimise communications with many key partners located across the UK, and fostering energy and cross-team interaction, to strengthen the sense of community. The second floor was designated as highly work focused, maintaining an open-plan layout to ensure teams remained connected and not isolated. The office's facilities were carefully designed with employee needs in mind and new mechanical and electrical systems were installed.
