Key features

  • Flexible and varied working environments
  • Large breakout hub with terrace and tiered seating
  • Reused furniture and lighting integrated with new finishes
  • Gym built as part of wellbeing basement

Following continued expansion, our client, a leading UK food brand, relocated to take on an entire building in the City of London. This first phase focused on level two to four, transforming a mix of Cat A and stripped spaces into vibrant, open plan working floors, alongside a wellbeing focused basement. We developed and delivered Anomaly’s initial design to create a seamless, high quality workplace that can evolve over time, while maintaining consistency with the existing Cat A+ fit out on the fifth floor the client admired.

The heart of the office

Level three became the social centre of the space. One side houses a generous breakout area, complete with tea point, terrace access and tiered seating for town halls and larger meetings. Levels two and four focus more on day to day working, each with their own tea points and smaller breakout spaces to keep teams connected.

A dash of branding

Natural light and views across the city help create bright, uplifting working environments. Pastel accents, inspired by the client’s brand portfolio, add character without overwhelming the space. A mix of reused and new furniture complements this palette, balancing sustainability with a fresh look and feel.

Each floor offers a variety of settings for different needs, including diner style booths and informal collaboration zones. Finishes were carefully selected to mirror the fifth floor, including woven vinyl flooring, cork breakout areas and consistent meeting room detailing, creating a unified experience across the building.

Biophilia and soft, layered lighting introduce a more relaxed, residential feel, helping to make the space feel welcoming and comfortable to work from.

Growth on the menu

The result is a flexible, cohesive workplace that brings teams together while setting the foundation for the next phase of works and future growth.

Bright, open plan office interior with an exposed ceiling showing silver ductwork and services, white beams and linear lighting. Rows of desks with multiple monitors and task chairs sit to the left, separated by long wooden planters filled with green plants. A central walkway with light wood flooring runs through the space, leading to a soft seating area with upholstered armchairs and a small table. On the right, a glass partition encloses meeting rooms with visible chairs inside, alongside a sideboard, potted plants and wall art. The space combines neutral tones, natural materials and greenery, with carpeted zones around the workstations and a clean, contemporary finish throughout.
