Oxford North is a new neighbourhood for science, research and technology, made up of one million sq ft of laboratories and workspace alongside homes, amenities and green spaces.

As part of the district’s phased delivery, we completed fitted laboratory spaces at Fallaize Street, providing an essential piece of Oxford North’s research infrastructure. The labs were designed to be straightforward, functional and ready for immediate occupation, giving research teams the ability to move in and start work without delay.

Set up for evolving research

All laboratories meet Containment Level 2 standards, making them suitable for a wide range of biological research. The spaces prioritise usability and flexibility, with adaptable benching systems, additional power capacity available and modifiable layouts that allow the laboratories to accommodate new equipment and specialist research needs over time.

A district designed for collaboration

The labs sit within a wider innovation district that blends workspaces with homes, shared amenities and generous public spaces. This creates an environment shaped around scientific and research minds, encouraging interaction, collaboration and productivity beyond the laboratory.

By delivering fitted laboratory space that is adaptable, scalable and ready from day one, the project plays a key role in Oxford North’s ambition to be a global destination for science and innovation, both now and in the future.
