Home Checklists Providing effecting mobility support to employees is seen as a top priority
Typical occupancy research shows that, on average, desks are used less than 56% of the time. A number of organisations are now focusing on empowering their employees with a complete suite of resources wherever their work takes them, be it the office, client sites, manufacturing floors, laboratories, warehouses, classrooms, home offices and/or when on the road.
This is so workers can work, as easily and efficiently, as they would at their desk in the office. This is achieved through utilising a variety of mobile platforms, including remote desktops, laptops, smartphones and tablets. The Forrsights Networks and Telecommunications Survey, Q1 2011, showed that 64% of firms in Europe and North America identified providing more mobility support for employees as a top priority. Our workplace consultancy projects have demonstrated this being implemented to varying degrees over the last few years.
